About Saint Petersburg
St. Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a rich cultural heritage and rightfully called the cultural capital of Russia. Along with Paris, Rome and Venice, St. Petersburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
St. Petersburg is the «city of bridges»: 68 rivers, channels and streams cross the city in different directions, forming 42 islands on its territory. Now there are 580 bridges in St. Petersburg and its suburbs, including 20 drawbridges, so the city is rightfully called «Northern Venice».
